This stooge aims to go where no man has gone before please put me in KIRK for the week, NYUK,NYUK!!! Hey, Gary, I looked up your company, Kirkland's, Inc. and discovered that it's headquartered in Jackson, Tennessee. It reminded me of a time in 1991 when I was hauling all my worldly possessions in a 20-foot Hertz-Penske rental truck with my Toyota pickup on a tow dolly behind it. I stopped at a Stuckey's Pecan Shoppe just a few miles outside of Jackson in Huntersville. I think I had a waffle. When we left, somehow I got headed up Providence Rd. toward the north, and I could not find a place big enough to turn that rig around. I went a number of miles before finally giving up and saying, "forget the traffic, they'll just have to wait." And it took me a couple minutes, but I got it going the right direction again. I looked up that Stuckey's Pecan Shoppe on Google Street View and found that it is no longer in business but is now an adult video store. A sad comment on the times in which we live.
Here's a picture of a Stuckey's in Memphis, TN at I-40 and Whitten Rd., long closed.
Thanks to steven1626 at webshots.com for this pic.
Here's the Google Street View image mentioned above.
I wonder why they're closed on Sundays. Is it so they can go to church?[/size]
